Psychological Choose Your Own Adventure (Part I)

How the choices we reveal our true nature

Those of you who grew up in the 80s might remember a series of "Choose Your Own Adventure" books where at the end of each page I had to make a decision and determining what happened next. This article will take a similar psychological journey that could only reveal some surprising answers about of his personality. I encourage you to try this for yourself. I also found this to be really fun to do with a small group of friends or relatives.

Before proceeding reading, however, I ask that you find a small piece of paper and a pen to write down their answers as you go along. Try to answer the questions with the first answer that comes to mind. Please do not go back and second guess, your answers or trying to figure out what that might mean. Just relax and enjoy with him!

The Journey:

One day she decides to go for a walk in the country. After walking a while, you come to a fork in the road decide which way to go?

Do you take the left path which leads to the open plains?

Do you take the right path that leads to the wooded valley?

Please enter your selection before continuing.

A little further down the road, suddenly you find a bear.

Describe what kind of bear it is and what he is doing as it approaches.

Looking around, he discovers that also There is a gun lying nearby.

Do you decide to take it or leave it lying on the ground?

As you continue along the path, you come to a body of water.

Describe this body of water in detail (size, shape, color, activity, etc.).

Its Travel staff explained:

This type of psychological testing has been used by therapists and researchers for years. The objects used in questions above have a symbolic meaning that are easily recognized by your subconscious mind. Just to complete this exercise, you will be able to learn more about yourself himself and those around you.

The initial route you chose to take is said to represent their mood and their current disposition to take a chance on the unknown.

If you decided to turn left and travel through the open plains, your subconscious mind is telling you that now may be ready to explore a new idea or opportunity that was presented recently in his life. Although you realize that there is always a risk of failure, this could be the right time for you to try something new.

If you decided to turn right and travel in the wooded valley, your subconscious mind is telling you that you can now prefer the convenience of a situation family rather than risk being exposed to unnecessary risks. For psychological refuge in the protective cover of the forest, you are indicating a strong desire for security and a need to protect their innermost feelings of others, at least for now.

The symbol of "Bear" represents how he would usually seen strangers or others who have just met. Think about it for a moment, when usually meet someone for the first time, you usually see them as a ally or a potential adversary?

Do you imagine the bear to be big and intimidating (as a bear), approximately the same size as you (psychologically as an equal), or perhaps something much smaller than is easily controlled or manipulated (eg, a small bear cub or a teddy bear). Think not only what kind of bear it is, but also what the bear is doing (eating, sleeping, attacking, running, playing, etc.). What could this behavior to report on its current relationships with others?

The Gun "found lying on the ground is said to indicate how general interact with other people who you already know. What kind of weapon is? If it is a powerful weapon such as a shotgun or an automatic assault rifle, then it is probably not known for subtlety in dealing with others. When you enter a room you want others to notice, and although not always expressed, that you want to be in charge in any situation given.

On the other hand if the weapon is only a small pistol or just a toy, you are probably much more receptive to the thoughts and opinions of others. You have enough confidence in their abilities do not always have to have your own way. In general, you are willing to listen to ideas other people before making a decision.

Whether or not you pick up the weapon, is said to represent how you feel about this particular aspect of his personality. In other words, do you accept this part of who you are, or you are often doing one thing and thinking another? For example, anticipating a big gun, but leave it lying on the soil may indicate a secret desire for more power in their relationships, but are unwilling to assert themselves. This is known as passive aggressive personality type.

The Council "water" which is to day, is said to symbolically represent how you see the path that is in front you. In other words, how difficult will be achieved through this body of water and reach your goal on the other side? Can you imagine a wavy flow or furious white water rafting? What might be your mind subconscious telling you about your level of confidence in their ability to achieve its current objective?

Take another look. How big is this body of water? Is it is a small stream that could easily jump over or is it a vast ocean with no land visible on the other side? The size of the water itself is a symbol representing the time that it believes take to get where you want to go.

Finally, the land that you see on the other side of this water is said to represent the current view its goals. Just think, does the earth seems to be a welcoming place worthy of their effort to get there, or is a barren desert with not much to offer?

If this land does not appear to be a desirable place, which may want to ask if you may be taking place on the wrong track. On the other hand, if the land through water seems to be full of flowers and lush green fields, may be your subconscious mind is a way of saying it's time to focus your energy and do everything necessary to get there.
